Should I Stand Against Abortion
January 19, 2026
Proverbs, the book of Proverbs, chapter number 24. Proverbs chapter number 24 in God’s word this morning. It is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. In fact, in 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation declaring the third Sunday of January as National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. So we honor that here. Sometimes we will address it during an announcement. Sometimes the preaching will address it more during this time this morning. Some will say, well, I wish you would just address, you know, moral and biblical issues, and not political issues. So much of politics is a moral issue. We will address those because they are in the Bible. We are going to do a little bit of that this morning. We are going to start in Proverbs 24, and we are going to start in verse number 10, Proverbs 24, and verse number 10. If you are there, would you please stand? Even if you are not there, would you please stand? Brother Cook said, man, I had a break. I am teased. He has got it.
But Proverbs 24, look in verse number 10 of God’s Word. Proverbs 24, verse number 10: “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
Now, the theme this year is “Strong in the Lord.” Often, the way to having God’s strength is through the avenue of weakness. But we do not want to stay weak. He says right there, “Look, if you faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” By the way, it is a day of adversity, especially in this arena of the sanctity of human life.
Look at the next verse, verse number 11: “If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death.” You say, why are you reading that verse right now? Because we are going to focus on abortion and those unborn babies that are drawn into death.
He says right there, “Look, if thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn to death, and those that are ready to be slain”—that is the honest truth of it right there. “If thou seest, behold, we knew it not,” does not he that pondereth the heart consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works? Wow.
For just a bit this morning, we are going to talk about those that are drawn unto death, and they are ready to be slain—millions of those. Some will say every 30 seconds. Excuse me, every 30 seconds, an unborn child in America has been slain. So I am going to say 118 per minute. Not quite, but two per minute. Wow. For just a bit, we are going to talk about this subject. I am not going to try my best not to be mean and harsh and all that. We will talk about that at the beginning, but stick with me if you would.
Let us pray together that God would give us wisdom in presenting His word. Father, we want to, first of all, honor You and Your word. Lord, we love America. We love individuals. We love ladies, moms, and those children. Father, in the midst of it all, help us to rightly divide Your word. Help us to speak the truth in love. Lord, use us to be a moral conscience compass for this nation. Father, use us collectively as that. We thank You for what You do. Lord, we yield to You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Thank you so much for standing. You may be seated.
I want to take some time before we really get into the message. Let me just say a word or two for those—I would never, of course, embarrass anything like that—but those that have already had an abortion, or maybe your girlfriend did years ago, or you encouraged your girlfriend and wife, whatever, but those that have been involved in abortion already. I am going to say some things that you may feel like are pointed at you, but I just want to say up front: I am not trying to guilt-trip you. I am not trying to bring up past hurt and pain. I am not trying to do that at all.
By the way, through Jesus Christ, you can see that baby again. Children before the age of accountability go to heaven. If you have been saved in the washing of the blood of the Lamb, you are going to heaven, and you will see that child again. I know that does not take all the pain away.
By the way, there is healing and forgiveness through Christ. When Jesus shed His blood on the cross, He took the sin of mankind upon Him, and in that, He took the sin of abortion—your abortion. He took that on Him. He has paid for that sin already on the cross of Calvary. That is why the Bible says in the book of Psalms, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgression from us.”
It is interesting how the Bible uses the term east and west. It does not use north and south, because you can go to where the North Pole is and to the south of the North Pole, or the South Pole. There are points of reference there. But you can go east and east and east and east, and you never get there. That cowboy can be riding out in the west as the sun is setting out west, and he is just going to keep going to the ocean. He is never going to reach the end. He is saying if you are a born-again Christian, because Christ has taken your sin, you will never face that again before God. It is gone. Another scripture talks about being buried in the deepest part of the sea. They cannot really get there nowadays, even in our modern days. It is gone. Another pastor says He has cast our sins, all our transgressions, behind His back. So through Christ, if you have been there, you have had it. There is forgiveness, and God says, “Let us throw that behind their back and let us move forward.” You cannot have a healthy life.
I have met with someone that has had an abortion, and boy, just the guilt of it, the nightmares of it. When their birthday comes around, the guilt that comes back, and maybe you gave them a name. When that name is said, sometimes it just kind of triggers you: “Wow, you know, my baby.” It is very painful, but there is healing at the cross. I am not trying to shun you or shoot at you or shame you. I want you to know up front: there is love and acceptance at the cross of Jesus, and from godly people, there is also love and acceptance, forgiveness there.
I would say do not deny it. Do not just try to bury it. Deal with it at the cross, and there is forgiveness and love there. Then I would say forgive yourself. Forgive yourself. Satan has already stolen something very precious from you; do not let him steal your future from you. Amen. There is love, there is forgiveness, there is love. God still has a will for you. God still gifted you. You are still very valuable to God. God still has a plan for you. You can still have a good marriage. You can still be a good mom again, a good daddy. By the way, men are often a part of it. You do not have to go have the procedure, but you are encouraging; you are a part of it too. Forgiveness for men also.
Some of the strongest proponents for pro-life, typically those that are leading it, are ladies who have had an abortion. She knows the hurt and the pain and the tears and the broken heart over this for years. Check it out: so often the greatest leaders of pro-life are those that have been through it and experienced it. I think of meeting with a wife and her husband, a young couple at the time. She was out of divorce—I had no idea—but just the guilt was just weighing her down. We had time together, and not me, but the Holy Spirit showed her how forgiven she is. God sees her as perfect through the blood of Jesus Christ. She not only knew it in her head, but she began to feel it in her heart. She was forgiven, and God used her to start a great ministry. God can use those that have been through that. I want to just say that up front, and I mean everything I just said very much. But I do want to talk about this subject of abortion for a bit this morning.
I want to speak to us as Christians and as American citizens. Let us look back at the verse we just read there, Proverbs 24 and verse number 11. Are you still out there with me? You have to say amen every once in a while. I think I am preaching to the wall or something now. I was sitting here watching before, during the song service, how many people were yawning. I said, maybe it is the cold weather and that heater inside here, putting them to sleep. Goodness gracious. By the way, if you have a hard time sleeping, on our radio station, they have me preaching at midnight because I am good at putting people to sleep. So I just turn it on at midnight.
Proverbs 24. Look at verse number 11. He says, “If thou forbear”—you do not want to get involved, if you will—“to deliver them that are drawn into death and those that are ready to be slain. If thou say, ‘Behold, we knew it not,’” does not he that pondereth the heart consider it? He that keepeth thy soul, does not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works?
The first thing I want to say is we must—I am talking to us as American citizens and us as Christians—we must engage in this arena of abortions. We cannot ignore it. We cannot stick our heads in a hole somewhere in the sand somewhere and just forget about it and say, “Well, I have nothing to do with it.” You and I both must be engaged in this arena of murdering little bitty children inside the mother’s womb. We must be engaged in it.
Look, if you will, over in Proverbs 14, just about 10 chapters earlier. Proverbs 14. Look in verse number 34. You will notice the verse; it is very familiar when we read it. I want you to see it, though, because I want you to notice some of the words at the end of the verse. Proverbs 14:34, right there in your Bible. Look what he says: “Righteousness exalteth a nation.” He was talking to a country, a nation. “But sin is a reproach to any people.” Does that include the greatest nation on the face of the earth? Yes. Friend, sin is a reproach to any people.
Sometimes we can get the mentality that we are so great, we are so powerful, nobody can touch us. Friend, the Bible is true. Sin is a reproach to any people. Can I just say this while we are on the subject? It was not the Constitution that made America great. I love it; it is great, but it was not. I love our freedom, but freedom did not make America great. I love our president. I voted for him in the primaries. I think it was a wise, right decision. I have no doubt about that. But it is not going to be our president that makes America great again. It was God that made America great in the beginning. And if America stays great or gets great, it will be God that does it in the end of the day.
I like our president. He has made a lot of great decisions. But, friend, I am not looking for him to make America great. I am looking to God. We sing this song, “God shed His grace on America.” That is what made America great right there, friend. And if we are going to stay great, it will be the grace of God.
I am not saying I am against all these people, but friend, it is God that helped our 13 ragamuffin colonies. There is no way they could have won against the greatest military power. It was the grace of God in the beginning, and it will be the grace of God in the end of the day. God could just take His thumb and squash our puny military compared to God’s power. Oh, friend, we need the grace and the mercy of God, and it is still true. If we do not engage in these moral issues, our Constitution will not save us.
By the way, the founding fathers told us: If you get that document in the hands of immoral men, it is no good. It might just be a piece of paper. We need the mercy and grace of God. So we must—we must be engaged in this arena of moral issues of abortion. We must. And abortion is no small issue, friend. Not a little bitty detail.
Look, if you will, over in Psalm 106. Psalm 106. You say, man, you were nice at first, but what happened to you? Look over in Psalm 106. I want you to see this phrase. I want you to notice these two words: “innocent blood.” It is found 20 times in the King James Bible: innocent blood. I cannot think of anything better represented than innocent blood than a little bitty baby, not even outside the mother’s womb yet—that little child, so precious. I mean, the older you get, the cuter little babies are, aren’t they? For some of us, they are looking real cute nowadays. I hope we do not mind me telling this, but it is true. I was meeting with Brother Joshua and Ms. Giselle in my office the other night, and their children were there. We were trying to meet and talk about the teen department and whatnot, and I had Lily Rose and Sage in my office chair spinning them. Brother Joshua said, “Well, I can tell you are in the grandparent stage.” I said, “It is true, man. You got me.” It is so true.
But innocent blood. Those little ones are just amazing. Notice what the Bible says. Psalm 106. Look in verse number 38: “And shed innocent blood.” I have already mentioned it, but every 30 seconds—we are not talking about worldwide, that is even much more. By the way, praise the Lord, we are not funding a lot of the abortions in the world anymore. Amen. But in America… You say, well, we will get—I am going to save that for a second here—but every 30 seconds, 118 per hour. Excuse me. Yes, yes. Innocent blood. Hitler killed six million. Abortions killed over 65 million. I agree with that right there. Somebody needs to blow the horn on them, man. I will tell you what: blow the horn on murdering those babies. Over 65 million. Goodness gracious.
Let us finish the verse, though. Psalm 106, verse number 38, if you are there: “And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and their daughters whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan.” By the way, that is exactly what we are doing—not the idols of Canaan, but in some ways, the idols of selfishness, the idols of my career, the idols of my body, the idols of my money. And notice what he says here: “And the land was polluted with blood.” Wow. Our land is polluted, friend. It is polluted.
Sixty-five million? I have read before how many states it would take. I was trying to get away from doing the status quo statistics. It is just staggering. What is the population of America? I did not check. I used to go through this. What is it? 330 million? Sixty-five million. That is since 1973, Roe versus Wade.
By the way, here is what the temptation is: “Well, praise the Lord, June 22, Roe versus Wade was overturned.” By the way, I think that is the greatest political victory we have had in about 50 years, literally. For years, everybody said that could not happen, but it did happen. Praise the Lord for that. That is wonderful. The temptation is, well, the battle is over, but it is not over. The federal government said, “Hey, we are going to give that back to the states and let the states make their decision.” Tennessee has made her decision, and it was a good decision to ban abortion. Praise the Lord for that. Ms. Myers has a table out in the lobby or the hallway there, and she has some issues about that. Tennessee is one of the strongest pro-life states in the United States. It is wonderful.
But the battle is still going on. There are 13 states that have totally banned abortion, and there are nine that totally accept any, no matter how far along they are. Nine that have totally accepted abortion. In between, there is a battle going on. If you were just to say which one is winning, it is hard to say. It is according to what statistics and who you talk to. But I would tend to say the abortion side is winning just a bit. A great battlefield is still going on. Do not think, “Well, it is all over.” It is not all over, friend. It is being decided, and we must stay engaged in this thing.
As an American, I want to talk to you as an American, then as a Christian, and we will be done. We are going to go eat some lunch somewhere. You are going to go eat some lunch and then take a nap, come back to church tonight.
As an American, let me just say a couple of things. As an American, you must—it is your privilege and it is your responsibility—to vote. This is a midterm election here, and we will determine things. It is not a presidential election, but the president appoints the Supreme Court. This is all true. I was told this morning about Tennessee, and we are pro-life very much. How is our legislation in the state of Tennessee? Being pro-life is always a debate, and even sometimes Republicans—are they truly pro-life or not?
Friend, you and I, at the end of this year, in November, are going to go to the election. We are going to go to those voting booths, and we are going to decide: Do we want a pro-life guy, or maybe someone that says they are pro-life but really is not, or someone that is pro-abortion? You are going to make those decisions. By the way, if you do not get involved, someone will make the decision for you. You have no right to complain for the next four years because you did not vote. I do not want to hear your opinion if you did not vote, because when the Constitution gave you a right to speak, you did not stand by voting. Come on now. You are sure to vote.
Young men on the front row here and the young ladies on the second row—Ms. Marlene, you are sitting on the young ladies. Forget what your husband was teasing about on your birthday. These young men, these young ladies, I would register to vote just as soon as you can. Get in there. It is your privilege, it is your right, and it is your responsibility. Vote biblically. One day, I will stand before the Lord. Yes, my sins are paid, but did I use my right and my responsibility as a voter to vote biblically or not?
As Americans, you say, “Well, that is such a dark arena.” If Christians do not shine the light in that arena, it will be even darker. My Bible calls us to be the light of the world. My Bible calls us to be the salt of the earth, to preserve. So, as American citizens, vote. Brother Adams is working on candidates tonight. He is trying to get the president, vice president, and the governor of all 50 states here. I am teasing him, but he is trying to get them all in here. You can put a question in written form, and some of them will be here. But vote, vote, vote, vote. As American citizens, you must vote.
Then, number two, as American citizens—and I will talk to Christians as a Christian, but right now just as an American—number two, you must speak up. I am not talking about being rude and know-it-all-ish and argumentative; that usually drives people to the opposite side. I am talking about speaking the truth in love.
Because the battle is being won or lost in the lunchrooms of the workplace. It is being won or lost in the backyard when neighbors talk across the fence. It is being won or lost in restaurants. It is being won or lost in families in their living room. It is being won and lost when good and right moral people will not speak up for the truth. Now, be wise about it, but we must, we must speak up.
The media, for the most part—Ephesians 2:2—it calls the devil Satan, the prince of the power of the air. Can I put that in modern-day Tennessee vernacular? For the most part, the media is going to be crooked. I am just being honest about the prince of the air. Not always, not everything, but for the most part, he is the prince of the air. Censorship is amazing. Someone said the most biased thing about the news is not what they report, but what they do not report.
So where are people going to hear the truth? They are going to hear the truth in the living rooms and the workplaces and the lunchrooms and in the backyard, just friends lovingly talking. They may need you to say, “Hey, you know what, friend? If you mess with a bald eagle’s egg, you can spend up to one year in prison and be fined up to $5,000.” Same thing with sea turtles’ eggs. Do not walk on the beach and squish their eggs; you could be fined up to $5,000. Say that. Someone might need to hear that so they know that baby eagle is an eagle, and they know that sea turtle is a turtle. And you know that baby inside the mother’s womb is a baby. They just may need you lovingly, kindly to say, “Hey.” Because the media will deceive. So we must—we must vote, we must speak up.
Then let me talk to you as a Christian, as a Christian. Look, if you will, over in Luke chapter number one. Luke chapter number one in God’s word. Matthew, Mark, Luke. Luke chapter number one. This is a place in the Bible where Mary, the mother of Jesus, her Savior, our Savior, she went and visited her cousin Elizabeth, and Elizabeth was already pregnant with a little boy named John. She was three months along at the beginning here. Still kind of the first trimester, right? They are about to come to the second trimester, and she is pregnant.
I want you to notice what the Bible says here, Luke chapter 1. Would you look in verse number 41? If you are there, would you say, amen? Luke 1 in verse number 41: “And it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the…” What is the next word? “Babe.” Now, usually in our household, that is when I am talking about my wife, amen, because she is a babe, right? Come on now. But that is not what it is talking about. It is talking about the babe or the baby. Notice the Bible did not say the fetus. No, it did not say the lump or all the rest. The Bible, God’s word, the King James Bible—you can hang your hat on it. “The babe leaped in her womb.” So God says that is a baby in the womb. Is that right or not? I am not a rocket scientist. I am a country preacher, but I can figure that out. God is calling that baby a baby in the womb.
And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. Look a couple of verses later. Look in verse number 44: “For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.” So God says that thing inside a mother’s womb is a baby. That is just the nose on my face, and I have a big nose, folks. God says it is a baby. It is a baby right there.
Twenty-six times God’s word uses this phrase, speaking of a lady that is having a baby. Twenty-six times it says “with child,” “with child,” “with child.” Twenty-six times God says very clearly “with child.” Now, is that clear or not? Church, clear. I know some doctor somewhere in Big Pharma and everybody else. I know what all they say, but I will just stick with what big God says. Amen. God says it is a baby.
And I must, I must, I must engage the world, the day and time, according to the absolute truth. I am so glad I know where to stand, not by my intelligence, because I would be about like a termite yo-yo. Praise the Lord, I can stand on something that does not change: on God’s absolute truth.
Sometimes somebody says, “Well, I do not believe that.” It does not matter. I am still going to use it, no matter what you do or do not believe. And by the way, one day you will stand before God and give an account according to what I am telling you from that book right there.
And I must engage. By the way, you know what John 10:10 tells me? It tells me that Satan came to do three things. Satan’s agenda is always the same. Help me out. You know it. His agenda is to steal, kill, and destroy. Abortion does all three. Satan is a master, just an excellent deceiver. He will come and say, “You are going to get your life back.” He is doing that when he is killing; he is destroying, and he is stealing your peace also. Oh, it is a sad thing. Thirty, forty years later, and they still cannot get over it—I am talking about the moms. Oh, friend. No, he is a liar and the father of it.
Then let me say this, out of love for the innocent blood standing as defense. I am talking to Christians. Someone has to speak up for the baby because the babies cannot talk. My choice in my life, what about the baby’s life? You are taking that little baby that cannot say a word, and you have already murdered them. Somebody has to stand up as Christian voices and stand and speak for the babies as Christians that love that poor little child. Yeah, a child. That is what the Bible says: 26 times the Bible calls it a child. We just read the Bible because the babe in the womb. Cannot get any clearer than that.
Then let me say this. We are going to move along. I love for the mothers—I am talking about the ladies that are trying to make a decision whether to have an abortion. I love standing against abortion for them. All the guilt and the hurt and the pain. Oh, it is just tragic. I have met with men whose girlfriends had abortions years and years earlier, and they come back and say, “Pastor, it still bothers me.”
You see, the devil and the media and the world are just master deceivers. They need someone to speak truth in love. That is not all what they make it up to be is reality there. That is not a fetus; is that your child? The hurt and the pain is so hard. By the grace of God, you can overcome it. By the way, offer them good options. That is why we support Portico Pregnancy Crisis Center down there in Murfreesboro. On Mother’s Day to Father’s Day, we usually give them over a thousand, a couple thousand dollars, whatever—twelve hundred dollars, whatever—and why do we do that? Because we want to offer them other options.
I know the church there has a—I do not know if they still do—they used to have a program where ladies can go in their program and have their child; they want to help with that. There are resources there.
I will never forget—I do not know if I should tell the story or not—but it is just amazing how the media and sometimes our own greed and our own willing way can just deceive us. We will make the wrong decision. I think of years ago when… Twenty-six years past me. I think the only time I got a letter like this, but someone sent me a letter saying this family in another church, a good family, they got their finances in order, just a good family. They want to adopt a child. If you know any babies, they want to adopt a baby; if you know what baby, let us know. About the same time, a lady that was coming to our church was about to have an abortion. I said, “May let her know.” And I let her know, and she was not coming at that moment. She was kind of up and down, sometimes winning, sometimes defeated. She was in that defeated part of the cycle. But I got the word to her that we have a good Christian family wanting to adopt that baby. And unfortunately, the media, just all the forces and deceivings, she went ahead and aborted that child.
By the way, there are people that would love to adopt babies. Now, as they get older, that is where foster care comes in; there is a need for foster care parents. But when they are babies, man, there are people that want to adopt them. That is why they are going to all these other countries trying to adopt because there are not enough babies in America; they are getting aborted. Are y’all out there? Check them out, friend. There are statistics. But anyway, Satan loves to deceive, and they need someone to lovingly come along and stand against abortion for the mother.
You know, in our day and time, the abortion pill—they say over 60% of abortions now, some say 63%. Somewhere over 60% is going to—who you read—abortions today are by the abortion pill. They get that first pill in, and they take that pill, and it murders the baby. It stops the hormones in the mom’s body that help support the child, and so all that changes, and it kills that child. Then the next pill they take a day or two later—that pill begins their body trying to expel that murdered baby.
Now, let me just say a few things about that. That is becoming the common thing in our day and time. Mental health issues are already a major problem. You hear so much in our day and time about mental health, mental health. Now, once they have committed the abortion using pills, the mental health issues greatly increase. And it makes sense. I have to live with this thing for the rest of my life. Mental health, not only mental health, but their health issues. There is a great debate about how unhealthy it is. They did studies. One study, 13 years long, studied that those that have taken the pill, in the next 30 days, there are 35% more likely to end up in the ER. I am not talking about when they take the pill; there are studies on that too. It is a greater number for sure. Often they do take a pill there. But friend, and often—and I will not be too graphic—but just the effect on the mom’s body that cannot heal. It is bad for their health. I am simply saying, even for the mother’s sake, someone in love needs to say, “Hey, here is the truth of it all.” It may be that you have been involved in an abortion, and you could be the one so greatly used to help a young lady and a young man to make the right decision.
Now, let us change gears for just a bit here. I know it is a little—not one of those subjects, you know, it is a little bit tougher of a subject. But let us change; let us change. Let us stay on innocent blood for a second, but let us change the subject matter. Innocent blood. Can you think of someone that is very, very, very, very, very, very, very innocent? Jesus. He was in all points tempted like as we are, yet what? Yet without sin. Innocent blood. He stood before trial before this earthly judge. The Bible records—I think it is four times—the earthly judge says, “I find no fault in him.” Innocent blood.
In 2 Corinthians, speaking about our Savior Jesus, he said, “He who knew no sin.” To me, that is even another level. He did not even just commit sin; He did not even know it. His mind did not go there at all. You are talking about innocent blood. He never had one dirty thought, no mean thought, no jealous thought, no envious thought—just perfect. You talk about innocent blood.
Yet the One with innocent blood, He went—and sometimes we have this in our minds—where the Roman soldiers made Him go to the cross, and they tried to hold His hand down on that cross and hold it there. Nobody held our Savior to the cross for Him. The Bible says He laid down His life. Jesus put His arm out on that cross, and the Roman soldiers were ready to hold Him down. Jesus said, “You do not have to hold Me down. You go ahead. You put that nail right there.” And they drove it in there, and they shed innocent blood. He laid down His life—innocent blood.
But yet, in some circumstances, in some ways for a brief time, He was not so innocent. Because the Bible says He who knew no sin became sin. All the dirt and filth and just shame of this world and the shame of my life and your life was placed on Jesus. He became sin. Innocent blood shed on the cross, and He took the sin of mankind upon Him—every dirty, foul sin. By the way, 1 John 2:2 says the sin of the whole world was placed on Him. Oh, what a sad, sad thing. And that innocent blood—He shed His blood, sacrificing His life for our sin.
Not only did He take our sins, but He offers us forgiveness for all our sin because He paid it. By the way, I was talking earlier about someone that has already had an abortion and whatnot. Hey, Jesus said, “I paid it all. It is finished.” I praise the Lord, it is finished. But not only does He pay for that sin, but Jesus also says, “Hey, let Me give you My record, My righteousness. Let Me place My righteousness on your account.” He says, “I will take your sin, put it on My innocent blood, and My righteousness I will place it on your account.” That is how someone goes to heaven forever and ever. That is how you get forgiveness. As a human being, it first starts from that place where you say, “You know what? I want to live for Him.”
Would you bow your heads and close your eyes, please? As our heads bow and eyes are closed.
I am always amazed at this verse. He says, “Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” I am just shocked. He says, “Come over here. I will reason with you.” He says, “I have forgiveness in My righteousness; I will place it on your account.”
If you hear this morning, you have never accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, you have never trusted fully in Christ, and there would be a wonderful day to do that right there where you sat, here in the auditorium or even online wherever you are at. If that is you, you say, “I admit it, I am a sinner. I understand that, but I have some sins. I understand there is a punishment. I believe Jesus died to pay for those sins, and I want to put my trust in Him, ask Him to save me right now.” If that is you wherever you may be, would you call on Him?
“Thank You, Jesus, for shedding Your innocent blood for me and taking my sin. Jesus, right now, would You be my personal Savior? Would You save me? I am trusting all the way in You, Jesus. You are my Savior. Thank You for paying for my sins.”
Our heads are bowed and eyes are closed. If you are there and you say, “Preacher, I just prayed and asked Jesus to be my Savior. I just put my full trust in Him to get me to heaven, forgiveness, His righteousness in my account. I just trusted Him for that,” and you would just lift your hand up—anybody like that? I never have. Just ask You to be my Savior. Anybody like that? He loves you. He likes to give that to you.
Hey, Christian, maybe you are there and you need to claim His forgiveness and His healing in your life, whether it be about abortion or whether it be another area. I do not know what it may be—maybe pornography, maybe drinking, maybe cursing, maybe negativity, gossiping. But you say, “You know, I need a fresh start.” Oh, He said, “I am ready to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness.” Maybe it is a born-again Christian, you said, “Preacher, I am going to claim His forgiveness and its healing effect this morning. I am just going to come to Him and claim that forgiveness and ask for His healing in my life.” If that is you this morning, heads bowed and eyes closed, you just lift your hand. Preacher, that is me. I am going to claim that. God bless you. It is there; it is available. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you.
One more question. We will have an open invitation. Maybe you hear this morning, you say, “I need to get involved in some of these things. I need to engage.” I feel like I need to, at least in some form or fashion, as God leads you—it is going to be different for everybody—and I need to get involved in abortion and maybe just moral rights as an American citizen, as a Christian. I need to get involved in the fight for good and right, and God spoke to my heart about that this morning. If that is you this morning, heads bowed and eyes closed, you slip your hand up. Preacher, I need to be involved. God bless you. God bless you. I need to be involved. God bless you. I need to be involved. Anybody else? Anybody else? Just let me be involved. God bless you. God bless you. Thank you so very much for the hands. You can put them down.
Would you please stand? All of us, let us please stand. And we are going to have an invitation. A great time. You come down to an old-fashioned altar. Just pray. If you need to get saved or talk to someone about your salvation, there will be a man standing down front, a man in the back—go talk to them. Maybe you want to join a Bible-believing church, get baptized—you let us know, whatever the need. We would love to be a help. But let us pray, and then let us spend some time, a sacred, special time with the Lord. Would you do that?
Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for just Your word and how clear it is. Help us to shine brightly in love and stand for Your truth in love. Use us in our day and time, Father. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
This is the hope for America right here: It is God’s people. That is the hope for America. And all the churches all across America preaching the truth, and the godly people in there—those who would like to be, they cannot be—but that is the hope for America. If it were not for the very small remnant, it would have been like Sodom and Gomorrah. Isaiah 1:9. He said, “Preacher, you cannot preach another sermon.” Okay, you are right. We have got to be dismissed. Amen. I am glad you are here this morning. Thrilled you are in God’s house. Love you. Thank God for you. You are awesome.
